Potato Pants Challenge

Do you remember the ice bucket challenge from a few years ago, raising awareness and money for ALS? Now, we have the potato pants challenge doing similar for HPS and PLS.

The challenge is to get people to feel some of what it is like to walk with HSP. You challenge 3 people to walk around with potatoes in their pants (by which we mean trousers in the UK), post videos on social media, and donate money to the HSP support group.

This challenge is happening all over the world. Details of what to do have been pulled together by the SPF group in the USA. https://sp-foundation.org/potato-pants-challenge/potato-pants-challenge.html

People are welcome to modify the challenge as they see fit, but the aim is to be seen and spread awareness about HSP, and to raise money to support HSP. People are welcome to donate to us at JustGiving: https://www.justgiving.com/charity/HSPGroup

Those who have followed the group for a long time may recall the original potato pants challenge, and the following potato pants music festival, where we had people racing wearing potato pants trousers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvCYejHtuAU. I had forgotten there’s also a potato pants song there too.
