Meeting report by Hilary Croydon
We met at Feering Community Centre in Essex for our Autumn gathering on 12th October this year. We were joined by three new people and chatted over tea, coffee and biscuits. One member showed us an impressive pair of very light weight carbon fibre AFOs which had been provided by the NHS and there was some discussion about how easy, or difficult, it would be to drive when wearing them. Another explained how valuable they find a six weekly private podiatry appointment for keeping good care of the feet. We also discussed the issues around fatigue and trying to combine working with HSP. Some leaflets about managing continence problems and HSP Support Group flyers were available for people to take away.
We will be meeting at Feering Community Centre again in the Spring and look forward to seeing everyone then.
